5-Star RB Kemon Spell Names Top Targets He’s Recruiting to Join Him at Georgia

On February 2nd, Georgia received a massive boost in the 2027 class with the addition of five-star running back Kemon Spell. With this commitment, the Dawgs moved into the top five recruiting classes in the nation according to the ON3 industry team rankings.

However the five-star running back from Pennsylvania isn’t just joining the class, he’s determined to be a big reason why Georgia will have one of the top recruiting classes in the nation. Spell understands what it takes to wins national championships and he’s already working to surround himself with good players. In a recent interview with Dawg Nation’s Jeff Sentell, Spell identified several prospects he’s recruiting to join him in Athens.

Spell began with two familiar names that reside in his home state.

Four-star WR Khalil Taylor: Taylor has quickly became a top priority for Georgia. The staff will now look to once again beat Penn State for one of Pennsylvania’s best prospects. Taylor has already scheduled an official visit to Georgia that will occur at the end of May and there is a strong possibility that Kemon Spell could be alongside him. He also has official visits already lined up to Penn State, Syracuse, and Colorado. The 5-foot-11 wide receiver from Pittsburg ranks as the No. 75 player nationally and the No. 13 wide receiver in the 2027 class.

Four-star OT Jimmy Kalis: Another Pittsburg product, Kalis visited Georgia for Junior Day in late January. According to ON3’s Chad Simmons, Georgia made a significant move following that trip. An official visit to Georgia has not yet to be scheduled, but it is more than likely to occur. Kalis is ranked as the No. 185 overall player and the No. 17 offensive tackle in the 2027 class.

Spell’s recruiting efforts even extend further from just the state of Pennsylvania. As a player involved in the 7-on-7 circuit, Spell has built relationships on his California Power team that could potentially help the Dawgs 2027 recruiting efforts.

Here are the names he highlighted:

Four-star S Jayden Aparicio-Bailey (No. 302 overall, No. 29 safety)

Four-star S Semaj Stanford (No. 189 overall, No. 20 safety)

Three-star S Kailib Dillard

Spell also pointed to a player that he has crossed paths with multiple times when taking a trip to Athens.

Four-star TE Brock Williams (No. 50 overall, No. 2 tight end)

Most importantly, Kemon Spell has made it clear he won’t take any visits during official visit season. Instead, Spell plans to be in Athens multiple times during the summer and help Georgia add even more top prospects around the country to their 2027 class.

With five commitments already secured for Georgia, Georgia is starting to gain momentum as we soon enter an action packed recruiting summer.
