It’s rare these days to find someone who doesn’t think Alabama is the nation’s best team.
After the Crimson Tide rolled Tennessee on Saturday, ESPN college football analyst Mark May called Alabama “leaps and bounds” better than everyone else in the country. Both the Coaches and Associated Press polls list the Crimson Tide as their top squad. Alabama has won by fewer than 10 points only once this fall.
But consider Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News unimpressed.
As shown by the convenient Reddit graphic released Sunday, Wolf is the lone AP Poll voter not to rank Alabama in the No. 1 slot. Better yet, Michigan’s fabulous showing during its bye week seemed to blow Wolf away more than what the Crimson Tide accomplished at Neyland Stadium. To make matters more interesting, Wolf covers USC, so he wrote about the Trojans’ meltdown against Alabama to start the season.
So what gives?
Thankfully, we don’t have to worry about poll nonsense with the College Football Playoff determining our national champion. But you can still shake your head at the odd choices made out there.
