Dylan Moses, one of the nation’s most-wanted recruits in the Class of 2017, has decided to push back his commitment date to next year.
Moses, a 5-star linebacker from IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.), told a group of reporters at his Under Armour All-American jersey ceremony presentation on Wednesday that he’ll announce his commitment at the game on Jan. 1. He was originally expected to announce his commitment on Dec. 15.
The decision to push back his commitment date should not come as a huge surprise to people who follow recruiting. Moses, who is originally from Baton Rouge, La., is very close to LSU and Les Miles. With the uncertainty surrounding the school’s future, the extra two weeks gives the Tigers plenty of time to get its next head coach situated.
As stated for the past several months, if Les Miles had remained LSU’s coach in 2017, Moses would have been a Tiger.
The Under Armour All-American will take an official visit to Alabama this weekend for the team’s game against Kentucky.
