Alabama could be on the verge of flipping one of the top defensive prospects in the country.
Shaun Wade, a five-star cornerback from Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Fla., has been committed to Ohio State since early in 2015. However, at Saturday’s IMG Tournament, the 6-foot-1, 177-pound corner raised some eyebrows by donning Crimson Tide shorts, according to 247Sports’ Hank South.
There have been contentious feelings between the SEC and the Big Ten of late, and it appears that is likely to continue as Nick Saban and his staff might try to snatch one of the nation’s top prospects away from the Buckeyes.
Wade is rated the No. 3 cornerback and the No. 12 overall player in the country, per the 247Sports Composite.
