A look at Alabama’s official visitor list this weekend
Alabama has a relatively quiet weekend in Tuscaloosa this weekend as far as official visitors are concerned.
With five days away from National Signing Day, the Crimson Tide will only host a handful of official visitors. Alabama already had its biggest recruiting event last weekend when it hosted over 10 blue chip prospects.
SEC Country examined a few of the targets that will be in Alabama below.
Demetris Robertson, five-star wide receiver, Savannah, Ga. — The nation’s No. 1 wide receiver won’t be on campus until Sunday as he’s taking an official visit to Georgia Tech until then, but his visit to Tuscaloosa is massive. The one-time Alabama commit is considering the Crimson Tide, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Stanford and California. Robertson won’t make his commitment until around a week after National Signing Day. Could the Tide land his signature when he does commit?
Raekwon Davis, four-star defensive tackle, Meridian, Miss. — The Alabama defensive tackle recently reaffirmed his commitment to the Crimson Tide. It’s been a whirlwind for the past few weeks trying to figure out which school Davis will attend. Two weeks ago he told reporters that he had flipped to Mississippi State after taking an official visit there and then hours later he said his Twitter was hacked. Getting Davis back on campus before he signs his letter of intent on Wednesday is big for the Tide.
Robert Washington, three-star running back, Mount Holly, N.C. — What’s the latest with this running back target? There hasn’t been much talk surrounding the three-star running back, but Alabama is still hosting him on a visit. The Crimson Tide would like to sign two running backs in this year’s class, but it would be surprising if Washington ended up being the second back.
Here are the other recruits that are expected to be in attendance:
Deonte Brown, four-star offensive lineman, Decatur, Ala. (Alabama commit)
De’jon Harris, three-star linebacker, Marrero, La. (Arkansas commit)
