Very few people know exactly what they will be doing on Sept. 2, 2023. The Alabama football program, however, already has its schedule mapped out for that day.
The Crimson Tide will face the Central Michigan Chippewas on that date five years and change from now.

Make no mistake, a September home game against a MAC team means Alabama put this game on the schedule in hopes of rolling over Central Michigan. These are the kinds of games where the bigger school pays the smaller one to play.
According to FBschedules.com, Alabama has Texas the next week, followed by Western Kentucky. If the Longhorns can crawl their way back to prominence, there may be hope for CMU that the Crimson Tide might overlook them. However, it’s not very likely Alabama would let this one slip away, especially if Nick Saban is still captaining the ship five years from now.
It will be the first meeting between the two teams.
