The Alabama Crimson Tide added another star player to their 2017 recruiting class: Joseph Bulovas.
Bulovas, the country’s No. 1-ranked kicker who decommitted from Georgia Tech on Tuesday, announced early Wednesday morning via Twitter that he will join the Crimson Tide.

Bulovas is ranked first at his position by Rivals, fourth by Scout, seventh by ESPN and eighth by 247 Sports. He’d also been recruited hard and had an offer from Mississippi State, who fans speculated could pull him away from his Yellow Jackets commitment, per From The Rumble Seat. Alabama, though, seemingly came out of the blue.
The incoming freshman has quite a boot on him, too, if this highlight he posted about 16 months ago is any indication.

Bulovas provides depth for the Crimson, who were left with just walk-on kicker Andy Pappanastos, a rising redshirt senior, with redshirt senior Adam Griffith’s departure.
