UPDATE (Jan. 20): The parade will now begin at 11 a.m. CT on University Boulevard at Denny Chimes.
Folks waiting for Alabama’s national championship parade finally have an official date to circle: Jan. 23.
That’s when the university will host an event that’s become commonplace since Nick Saban showed up in Tuscaloosa nine years ago.
Here’s the school’s official release:
The parade, which will feature head coach Nick Saban, the players and staff along with Director of Athletics Bill Battle and other dignitaries and special guests, will start at 10 a.m. [see update above], on University Boulevard at Denny Chimes.
The parade will conclude with the Walk of Champions with a ceremony on the top steps of the Bryant-Denny Stadium North End Zone that will be emceed by the voice of Alabama football, Eli Gold.
Alabama won its 16th national title on Monday night against Clemson, the fourth since Saban arrived in 2007.
