MOBILE, Ala. — Wednesday took SEC Country from Montgomery to Mobile.
The Montgomery area was rich with standouts and up-and-comers who will be all over SEC radars — including Auburn and Alabama — in the coming months. On Thursday, all three prospects Alabama recruiting reporter Chris Kirschner and I will visit are high on Auburn and Alabama recruiting boards.
In the Mobile area, we’ll go see Mobile Christian (Ala.) defensive end Andres Fox who has said in the past Auburn, Alabama and LSU are his top 3. Then we’ll scoot a little outside of the state’s boundaries to get over to Pensacola to visit 4-star Escambia High receiver Jacob Copeland whose recently-released, all-SEC top 5 includes Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
The final stop will bring us back up to the hub of the state for our last excursion to Birmingham. We’ll finish Thursday with new in-state target Taulia Tagovailoa, the younger brother of Alabama early enrollee quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Make sure to check back at the end of the day for quick updates from all of our visits. And, as always, head to SEC Country Alabama and SEC Country Auburn to read recruiting notebooks written by Kirschner and me.
