TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama basketball earned another key SEC victory with a 71-62 win over Mississippi State on Saturday in front of a sellout crowd in Coleman Coliseum.
The win gave Alabama a season sweep over the Bulldogs.
The win moved Alabama to 13-7 overall, including 6-2 in SEC play. The Crimson Tide have won four of their last five games.

Freshman Braxton Key once again powered Alabama with 19 points and 9 rebounds on the afternoon.
Key struggled shooting from the field (4-of-13), but was aggressive and earned a lot of trips to the free-throw line. Key made 10-of-14 free throws. He has scored in double figures the last four games.
Riley Norris scored 13 points while shooting 60 percent from 3-point range.
Norris has scored in double figures the last five games, and seven of the last nine contests.
Dazon Ingram was also in double figures with 15 points to go with 6 assists.

Alabama didn’t shoot particularly well from the floor (33 percent), but made up for it with free throws. Alabama shot 86 percent (31-of036) from the free-throw line.
Alabama attempted 17 more free throws than Mississippi State.
Turning point vs. Mississippi State
The game was tied at 29 with two minutes left in the opening half. For those final two minutes and early into the second half, Alabama put together a 12-0 to push its lead to 41-29 at the 16:57 mark in the second half.
Mississippi State fought back and briefly took the lead, but Alabama immediately responded with Key knocking down a 3 to regain control. Alabama cruised the rest of the way.

What’s next for Alabama basketball?
Alabama returns to the road for the fourth time in the last six games with a trip to Fayetteville, Ark., to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks on Wednesday. Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on the SEC Network. It will mark the lone meeting between the two teams this season.
