November 10 could be a humongous day for the Alabama basketball program.
The Crimson Tide have the chance to add both a 5-star and 4-star recruit two weeks from Thursday.
Five-star point guard Collin Sexton will make his decision on the 10th, and choose between Alabama, Kansas, Georgia Tech and North Carolina State.
The 6-foot-2, 182-pound guard is ranked as the nation’s No. 7 prospect and No. 2 point guard overall.
According to 247Sports’ Crystal Ball projections, 82 percent of recruiting analysts peg Sexton to wind up in Tuscaloosa. The Mableton, Ga., native holds 28 offers, and recently took an unofficial visit to Alabama on Oct. 21.
John Petty, a 4-star shooting guard from Huntsville, Ala., is down to Kentucky and the Tide.
He is ranked as the nation’s No. 31 player and the country’s No. 5 shooting guard recruit. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound prospect is considered a Wildcats lean with 74 percent of analysts pegging Petty to Kentucky.
The Tide currently hold three members in their 2017 class, including 4-star power forward Alex Reese, 3-star shooting guard Herb Jones and 3-star center Galin Smith.
Coach Avery Johnson is entering his second season in Tuscaloosa after leading Alabama to a 18-15 (8-10 SEC) record in 2015.
