TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama basketball has lost its third player to transfer this offseason.
Forward/guard Ar’Mond Davis announced his plan to transfer on Tuesday via his Twitter account.
Davis played in 32 games after transferring in from junior college. He finished fourth on the team in 3-pointers made with 32 and was third in 3s attempted with 129.
He averaged 6.9 points per game while scoring in double-figures 10 times.
Davis was a streaky shooter whose minutes fluctuated throughout his junior season.
Alabama basketball is bringing in a highly touted recruiting class which features Collin Sexton and John Petty. Sexton is a 5-star point guard from Pebblebrook High in Mableton, Ga. Petty is a 4-star shooting guard from Jemison High in Huntsville, Ala. Their rankings are from the 247Sports composite.
It’s considered by many to be the best recruiting class in Alabama basketball history.
Petty took home Mr. Basketball honors for the second consecutive year. Petty was named 5A Player of the Year in Alabama.
