Jones committed to Alabama back in October. Jones was one of three players to commit to Alabama in a two-day span.
Alex Reese, a 4-star forward, and 3-star center Galin Smith are both expected to sign with Alabama as well.
Jones picked the Crimson Tide over Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Florida.
Jones is a 3-star recruit in the 247Sports composite rankings, but a 4-star prospect on Rivals.com and in 247Sports individual rankings.
As a junior, Jones averaged 15.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game.
Outside of Jones, Reese and Smith, Alabama is in the running for two 5-star players.
Collin Sexton, a point guard from Pebblebrook (Ga.) High School), and John Petty (Huntsville, Ala.) have Alabama on their list of finalists.
Sexton is scheduled to announce his decision at 6 p.m. ET as a part of ESPNU’s basketball signing special.
Petty, a 6-foot-5 wingman, will also announce his decision on Thursday as well. Petty is the No. 1 player in the state of Alabama.
