TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama basketball pounded USC Upstate 78-61 in front of a sparse crowd at Coleman Coliseum.
Ten of the 12 players who entered the game for Alabama scored at least one point.
The victory snapped a two-game losing streak for Alabama. The Crimson Tide moved 5-4 on the season.

Center Donta Hall and forward Braxton Key both put together impressive games.
Hall led the Tide in scoring with 15 points to go with 8 rebounds. Hall shot 85 percent from the floor in 20 minutes of action. Hall has been a sparkplug for the Crimson Tide since being inserted into the starting lineup.
Key, a true freshman, continues to impress. Key just missed out on a double-double with 10 points and 9 rebounds. He also added 5 assists.

Alabama owned a 44-33 rebounding advantage over the Spartans, including 33 defensive rebounds.
Turning point vs. USC Upstate
USC Upstate used an 11-4 run midway through the first half to cut Alabama’s lead to three, and it appeared the Spartans were poised to make this a close game.
But the Crimson Tide responded with a 7-0 run to build a 10-point lead and essentially put the game away in the first half. Alabama led 39-26 at halftime and never let up. Alabama built its lead by shooting 58.6 percent (17-of-29) from the floor in the opening half.

Alabama travels to Birmingham on Sunday for a home game away from vs. Clemson. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET on ESPNU. The game will be played at Legacy Arena and is considered a home game for the Crimson Tide.
