Could another Alabama assistant be on his way out of Tuscaloosa?
It’s at least a possibility, according to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman, who suggests that Crimson Tide outside linebackers coach Tosh Lupoi could be in the running for the Cal defensive coordinator position.

The Golden Bears officially hired former Wisconsin defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox as their next head coach after firing Sonny Dykes on Jan. 18. Wilcox and Lupoi coached with each other at Washington from 2012-13, where Lupoi worked as the Huskies defensive line coach and defensive run game coordinator.
Prior to Washington, Lupoi was the defensive line coach at Cal from 2008-11.
Lupoi came to Tuscaloosa in 2014 and served as an analyst before taking over the Tide’s outside linebackers in 2015, which were among the Tide’s best units this season with the likes of Tim Williams and Ryan Anderson.
While great at developing talent, Lupoi is one of Alabama’s best recruiters and was instrumental in the Crimson Tide landing nation’s No. 1 prospect Najee Harris.
Should he leave, he would join Lane Kiffin (FAU head coach) and Alabama offensive line coach Mario Cristobal, who departed from Tuscaloosa earlier this week when he accepted the co-offensive coordinator position at Oregon.
