The rematch is getting more attention than the original meeting.
So says ticket prices data from Vivid Seats about Monday’s College Football Playoff national championship meeting between Alabama and Auburn.
As of Tuesday, the average price of sold tickets for the game was $1,175, while the “get-in” price was $804. Those numbers are up compared to last year’s meeting between the teams, when the average price was $683 for Bama’s 45-40 victory.
That game was played in Glendale, Ariz., with an average trip of 1,819 miles for the southeast fan bases. This year, the average trip to Tampa, Fla., for Clemson and Alabama fans is just 571 miles.
For Monday, the median price for tickets is $1,450.
