It’s going to be hard for any school other than Auburn to gain the commitment of Bo Nix, but that didn’t stop Alabama from offering him a scholarship.
Nix is the son of former Tigers QB Patrick Nix, who played for Auburn from 1992-1995 and finished his career with 4,957 yards and 31 touchdowns. Not only did Patrick attend Auburn, but so did his mother and his sister is a student there now.
After a stellar sophomore season at Scottsboro (Ala.) High School, which saw Nix pass for 1,737 yards with 16 touchdowns and four interceptions in 2016 and 1,300 rushing yards to go along with 20 touchdowns on the ground, he was named the nation’s No. 2 dual-threat prospect in the Class of 2019. Regardless of class, he’s rated as the best quarterback prospect in the Yellowhammer State.
Nix will play at Pinson Valley High School this season after his father was named the head coach there.
His other offers include: Florida State, Ohio State, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
