Alabama’s recent lull in recruiting has ended with a commitment from a top 5 offensive guard out of Florida.
Deyavie Hammond, a 2019 4-star offensive lineman from Lakeland (Fla.) High School, announced on Twitter that he has committed to the Crimson Tide. Hammond also had offers from Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and LSU.
The 6-foot-4, 320-pound prospect becomes Alabama’s third commitment in the Class of 2019, as he joins athlete Trey Sanders and offensive tackle Pierce Quick. Alabama now has more commits in the Class of 2019 than the Class of 2018. The Crimson Tide only have two commitments in 2018. Fans should expect that to change in the coming weeks with camp season in Tuscaloosa starting at the beginning of June.
