It took a late comeback, but Alabama secured three No. 1 rankings from major recruiting sites for its Class of 2016.
Entering signing day, Alabama was ranked No. 4, No. 5, No. 8 and No. 9 on those sites, respectively. Its latest haul extended some impressive streaks, including a six-year run atop the 247Sports composite list.
While much of the current class was already committed to coach Nick Saban and his staff before Wednesday, the program managed to reel in a pair of in-state, five-star linebackers — Ben Davis and Lyndell “Mack” Wilson — and a pair of four-star defensive backs — Jared Mayden and Shyheim Carter — that helped put ‘Bama over the top.
