South Alabama is an FBS program, which means Jennings will have to sit out the 2017 season due to NCAA transfer rules. He will then have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Jennings redshirted in 2016, his first year on campus. He is the younger brother of current Alabama linebacker Anfernee Jennings. He signed with Alabama in 2016 over offers from Auburn and Memphis.
