Alabama reportedly is adding to a pair of future schedules.
On Wednesday, it was learned that the Crimson Tide will play Southern Miss in 2021 and Western Kentucky in 2023, as reported by FBSchedules.com’s Kevin Kelley. Alabama will face Southern Miss on Sept. 25, 2021, in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide will pay the Golden Eagles a $1.9 million guarantee for the game.
Meanwhile, Western Kentucky makes a trip to Bryant-Denny Stadium on Sept. 9, 2023. The Hilltoppers also will receive a $1.9 million guarantee for the matchup.
Against Southern Miss, Alabama leads the all-time series 34-5-2. The programs last played in 2014, when the Crimson Tide won 52-12.
The Crimson Tide hold a 3-0 series lead against Western Kentucky, with the most recent game happening in 2016, when Alabama won 38-10.
Alabama is coming off a 13-1 season in which it won its fifth national title under coach Nick Saban. The Crimson Tide open the 2018 season against Louisville on Sept. 1.
Southern Miss went 8-5 last year under coach Jay Hopson. Western Kentucky finished 6-7 last season under coach Mike Sanford.
Recently, it was announced that Alabama will face Utah State in 2022.
