After watching games in Auburn and Gainesville on Saturday evening, Las Vegas came away with a strong impression: The SEC Championship Game will not be close.
Alabama opened as a 12-point favorite and climbed to 17 on Sunday morning, according to VegasInsider.com.
The Crimson Tide took care of business, 29-13, against the Tigers to extend their winning streak to nine. Down in the Sunshine State, Florida completely fell apart in a 27-2 home loss to rival Florida State.
Both teams have one SEC loss, but Alabama and Florida are trending in completely different directions.
The Gators have not broken the 30-point mark in six games since quarterback Will Grier was suspended for using a banned substance. Meanwhile, the Tide have outscored opponents, 305-102, since losing to Ole Miss on Sept. 19.
Saturday’s SEC Championship Game in Atlanta will kick off at 4 pm ET (ESPN).
