TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide football team returns home to Bryant-Denny Stadium for a matchup with Kent State on Saturday.
The two teams will meet for just the second time in the history of the two programs. The Tide defeated the Golden Flashes, 48-7, in Tuscaloosa in the 2011 season opener for both teams.
Following the nonconference game on Saturday, Alabama will host Kentucky on Oct. 1 for homecoming. The Tide are 36-2-1 against the Wildcats and 9-0 all-time in Tuscaloosa. Coach Nick Saban is 6-0 against Kentucky in his career, including a 3-0 mark at Alabama.
