To say Crimson Tide kicker Adam Griffith worked his way through an up-and-down season might be a little bit of an understatement. After starting the year 0-for-4 and then going 6-for-12 on field goals, the Alabama junior went on to nail 17 of his final 20 attempts of the season.
Riding the high of that late-season surge and Alabama’s thundering run to another national championship, Griffith gave Tide fans some great news on Saturday night.
“Decided to stay and play my 5th year at Alabama. Let’s make this one count. Hopefully another championship. Roll Tide!” Griffith tweeted.
Griffith, the former top-rated kicking prospect in his signing class (per the 247Sports Composite), returns to what should be yet another stacked Alabama squad in 2016, with top juniors such as sack artist Jonathan Allen announcing they will be back for one more year.
