Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa are Alabama’s top quarterbacks entering the 2018 season. Carson Beck could fill one of their spots in the future.
Beck, a Class of 2020 quarterback from Jacksonville, Fla., announced Tuesday on Twitter his decision to commit to the Crimson Tide. He also plans to play baseball at Alabama.

Beck, who lists himself at 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, also held offers from Florida, Boston College and Florida Atlantic. He received his offer from Alabama on June 5 and had a visit with the Tide last Friday.
Beck is the fourth Class of 2020 player to commit to Alabama and the only quarterback among that group.
While he plays quarterback on the gridiron, Beck also can play infield, pitcher and catcher on the baseball diamond. He plays both sports at Providence School in Jacksonville.
