Alabama linebacker commitment VanDarius Cowan’s high school football career is over as he was kicked off his team, which was first reported by the Palm Beach Post and confirmed by SEC Country.
Cowan was removed from his game this past Thursday night by his head coach for two penalties. After that, he reportedly ate on the sidelines, interacted with fans and didn’t pay attention to the game, according to the Palm Beach Post.
The 4-star linebacker from Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) High School was in Tuscaloosa this past weekend for his official visit. His commitment to the Crimson Tide remains solid despite this setback.
Due to his removal from his high school team, Cowan will no longer play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl this January.
