Johnson is a 4-star recruit and the No. 1 linebacker in the junior college ranks. He is the No. 3 JUCO player in the country per 247Sports Composite rankings. Alabama now has 21 commitments in its 2017 class, which is still ranked No. 2 in the country behind Ohio State.
Alabama does have commitments from 4-star linebackers VanDarius Cowan and Markail Benton, though they are listed as outside linebackers. Johnson is listed as an inside linebacker.
The No. 1 Crimson Tide travel to this weekend to take on LSU.
