Alabama loses DL Jonathan Allen to apparent shoulder injury
UPDATE: Allen is wearing sweatpants and a sling for his left shoulder on the sideline. He appears to be out for the remainder of the game.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama’s defense took a hit just before halftime, losing defensive lineman Jonathan Allen to what appeared to be a left shoulder injury.
The junior went down near the line of scrimmage, and needed roughly 20 seconds before trainers helped him to his feet and walked him to the locker room. He had offseason shoulder surgery after being named first team All-SEC last season.
The Crimson Tide are up, 14-0, against Louisiana-Monroe after two quarters in Tuscaloosa.
