One of the top basketball recruits in the country is no longer committed to Alabama.
Terrance Ferguson, a five-star shooting guard from Advanced Preparatory International (Dallas), has backed off his pledge to the Crimson Tide, according to Scout.com’s Evan Daniels.
The McDonald’s All-American had been committed to Alabama since August before re-opening his commitment on Tuesday.
“He’s opening back up his recruitment just based off of him losing his grandmother a month ago,” his coach Ray Forsett told Scout. “He wants to make the right decision. He’s very much still interested in going to Alabama, but he wants to pray about it and make sure he’s making the right decision.”
Ferguson is rated as the nation’s No. 15 prospect and No. 2 shooting guard, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
