It’s been more than a month since Ezekiel Elliott’s postgame meltdown and subsequent Twitter jab at his Ohio State coaches.
Lane Kiffin did not forget.
Alabama’s offensive coordinator kept Elliott’s comments to the media (“I deserve more than 11 carries”) and reaction to Derrick Henry’s big Iron Bowl performance (“must be nice”) in mind during a Cotton Bowl presser on Sunday morning.
When Kiffin was asked about Michigan State’s defense, he cleverly dropped this: “They’ve played some good (running backs). Elliott at Ohio State … Hopefully we get the ball to Derrick more than they did.”
