Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin will likely remain part of Nick Saban’s staff in 2016.
The embattled assistant has had a nice two-season stretch in Tuscaloosa, and he expressed his content during a Cotton Bowl press conference Sunday morning.
“I’d love to be back,” he told a group of reporters, including AL.com’s Matt Zenitz.
According to the Montgomery Advertiser‘s Duane Rankin, Kiffin added that coaching opportunities following last season “just didn’t feel right.”
Kiffin reportedly interviewed for the Maryland job this fall, but a counter report claimed he never met with Terrapins brass, and no other potential landing spots have been mentioned.
