Just two days after Alabama running backs coach Burton Burns visited him in Oklahoma, Joshua Jacobs has officially been offered a scholarship by Alabama.
Jacobs, a three-star running back from McLain High School (Tulsa, Okla.), tells SEC Country that Nick Saban personally offered him a scholarship on Friday.
“He said he loved my film and the rest of the staff loved my film and that he wanted to let me know that he has officially offered me,” Jacobs said.
The 5-foot-10, 200-pounder has been a late bloomer in the recruiting world. He hasn’t received much publicity until recently. His other offers include Missouri, Oklahoma and Iowa State. So now that he has an offer from the Crimson Tide, does it mean he’ll be committing?
“I’m just looking it all over weighing my options,” he said. “I have a lot to think about in a short amount of time.”
Jacobs said he’s working on trying to visit Alabama before making his final decision.
He’s going to be one to monitor over the next couple of days leading up to National Signing Day.
Jacobs is rated as the nation’s No. 10 running back and the No. 2 overall prospect in the state of Alabama.
