Alabama earned a spot in the College Football Playoff on Sunday, and the Crimson Tide are opening as a slight favorite.
As relayed by ESPN Chalk’s David Payne Purdum, Alabama is opening as a 1-point favorite for the Sugar Bowl against Clemson, per the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook. The game will be played on Jan. 1 at Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

It will be fun to see this rematch of the national championship game from last season. Clemson enters with a 12-1 record and as ACC champions. Alabama is 11-1, and the Crimson Tide’s inclusion in the College Football Playoff is somewhat controversial, given that there was a heated debate between Alabama and Ohio State for the fourth spot.
This game can’t arrive soon enough.
