Just when the nation was getting comfortable with the idea of Alabama RB Bo Scarbrough as the Crimson Tide’s next national championship game hero, the talented running back hit the turf with an injury in the second half.
Scarbrough appeared to suffer a right leg injury during the third quarter of the College Football Playoff national championship game on Monday night. Prior to the injury, which stopped play and eventually forced the running back into the locker room, Scarbrough dazzled fans in Tampa with a pair of impressive touchdown runs.

At the time he left the field, Scarbrough led all players with 16 carries for 93 yards and two touchdowns.
UPDATE: ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi reports that it is a lower right leg injury and that Scarbrough is questionable to return to the game.
