Alabama star Derrick Henry missed practice Wednesday after coming down with a case of tonsillitis.
Coach Nick Saban relayed the news during his post-practice press conference.
“Saban said Derrick Henry missed practice today with tonsillitis,” tweeted AL.com’s Matt Zenitz. “But should be fine to practice tomorrow.”
The timing was rather good — Henry will likely be able to get back to the field well before Alabama’s game against Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday afternoon (4 pm ET, SEC Network).
The junior back is in the Heisman Trophy conversation after racking up 370 rushing yards and seven touchdowns through three games.
