Derrick Henry is one touchdown away from SEC history.
Facing LSU on Saturday night, Alabama’s bruising junior running back ran in a score for the 14th consecutive game, tying Tim Tebow (Florida) for the conference’s all-time record.
The touchdown was Henry’s 15th of the season, putting him in a tie with LSU star Leonard Fournette, who was running away with the Heisman race entering Saturday’s game.
Henry’s two-yard score put Alabama up, 10-0, in the second quarter. He had an impressive 40-yard run down the right sideline to set it up.
