Derrick Henry has made it clear: He wants to be selected in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Late this week, he also indicated which team he wants to take him.
Here’s what AL.com‘s Michael Casagrande reported Friday:
Henry again said his preferred landing spot would be the Dallas Cowboys because “I feel like it has a great organization,” he said.
We hate to poke holes in Henry’s statement, but the Cowboys have been one of the NFL’s most turbulent organizations over the past two decades, and have not participated in an NFC championship game since 1995.
But, if it’s what he really wants…
Dallas has the No. 4 overall pick, so Henry would need to wait until — you guessed it — the second round for the Cowboys to pick him.
We’ll find out the weekend of April 30-May 2.
