Amid Alabama’s dominant performance against Michigan State in Thursday’s Cotton Bowl was a thoughtful gesture by Tide running back Kenyan Drake meant to honor a fallen teammate.
Drake wore an “R.I.P. 28” wristband during the game in memory of Altee Tenpenny, a former teammate who passed away in a tragic car accident earlier this season.
Drake’s wristband wasn’t the only notable action taken by the running back. On Friday morning, Drake took a shot at Michigan State on Twitter about his self-described flop during the first half.
No. 2 Alabama will face undefeated No. 1 Clemson in the College Football Playoff National Championship game on Jan. 11.
