Johnson committed to Alabama in March 2016, but rescinded his pledge on Oct. 30 because of an academic issue.
The Dodge City Community College product holds 28 reported offers, and collected 79 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and three sacks in 2016.
Johnson is as the nation’s No. 1 JUCO linebacker prospect, and he is the nation’s No. 6 overall junior college prospect, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
Alabama has 25 commitments in its 2017 class, including 12 prospects who have already enrolled. The Tide hold commitments from three linebackers in this cycle, including 5-star Dylan Moses and 4-stars VanDarius Cowan and Markail Benton.
