As the number of people displaced by flooding in Louisiana continues to grow, the athletes and staff at the University of Alabama have shown they are willing to take action.
A trailer loaded with donations for flood relief left Tuscaloosa today, bound for Louisiana. Last week, players and coaches who are natives of Louisiana pleaded for donations for the truck in a video released by the athletic department. More than 40,000 homes have reportedly been damaged due to flooding.
Unfortunately, players and coaches at Alabama are no strangers to natural disasters. In 2011, Tuscaloosa was severely damaged by a violent tornado that devastated portions of the city.
