Alabama erased a 21-point second-quarter deficit at Ole Miss. That tied the largest deficit overcome in program history (not just in a victory, but in a game).
Alabama also hung on to the No. 1 spot in the latest coaches poll. The Crimson Tide had 50 first place votes.
Alabama has been ranked at No. 1 at some point in each of the last nine years. The previous record was seven years by Miami (1986-92). All nine of those years have been under coach Nick Saban.
