TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Now’s not the week to let up for Alabama.
The top-ranked Crimson Tide (9-0, 6-0 SEC) host Mississippi State (4-5, 2-3) at 12 p.m. ET Saturday, a game that will be broadcast by ESPN. A few weeks ago, this looked like a stretch where Alabama could relax a bit and prepare for its regular-season finale against Auburn. After four games in a row against teams that were ranked at the time, the Bulldogs offered some respite from that gauntlet.
Instead, Mississippi State comes in after upsetting then fourth-ranked Texas A&M, and boasts a quarterback that ranks third in the conference in total offense. Redshirt sophomore Nick Fitzgerald is the only SEC quarterback with more rushing yards than Alabama’s Jalen Hurts.
SEC Country’s Marq Burnett and Chris Kirschner will provide expert analysis from inside Bryant Denny Stadium during the game. Follow along with our live blog right here at game time.
