Alabama will get visit from Mississippi’s No. 2 overall prospect
One of the nation’s top-rated prospects will be visiting Alabama later this month.
Jeffrey Simmons will be in attendance for the Crimson Tide’s home bout against Ole Miss on Sept. 19, he confirmed to the AJC on Wednesday.
Simmons, a 4-star defensive end from Noxubee County, Miss., made an unofficial visit to Alabama back on Aug. 22. He confirmed to the AJC that his visit in two weeks will not be an official.
The 6-foot-4, 262-pound defensive end, who has reported 13 offers, is considered a split between Alabama, Ole Miss and Mississippi State, per 247Sports.com’s Crystal Ball predictions.
Simmons is ranked as the No. 55 recruit in the country and the No. 2 overall in Mississippi.
