Alabama wide receiver Robert Foster is out for the season with a torn rotator cuff.
The sophomore sustained the injury while chasing down a deep Jake Coker throw in the second quarter of Alabama’s 43-37 loss to Ole Miss on Saturday night.
Per AL.com‘s Matt Zenitz, the injury will keep Foster out until 2016.
Foster had been one of the team’s most reliable targets. He racked up 10 catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns before landing awkwardly in the end zone on Saturday.
The Monaca, Pa., native suffered a sprained MCL in late August, but he made a quick recovery and caught four passes for 50 yards and a touchdown against Wisconsin on Sept. 5.
Alabama’s receiving corps will continue to feature ArDarius Stewart and Richard Mullaney, while Calvin Ridley, Cam Sims and Chris Black could now get more passes thrown their way.
