Alabama’s Nick Saban addresses anti-media rant on College GameDay
Nick Saban’s “six-foot under” rant is not six-foot under yet.
The coach made an interview appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay Saturday morning to address his inflammatory comments from earlier this week.
“I think sometimes it’s important to try to defend your team,” he said. “And, you know, you can do an assessment of how we’ve done this season. We’ve played a couple good games and a couple pretty average games. So consistency and performance is what we’re looking for.
“I’m sure since I did that, everybody’s still got that story laying out someplace to write it if we ever do fail.”
Saban also addressed the incident during his weekly radio show Thursday night.
“A lot of people think I don’t like the media,” he said. “That is not the case.”
Saban wanted to clarify: "A lot of people think I don't like the media. That is not the case." Coach said he appreciates quality journalism.
