TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The harshest critic of Alabama coach Nick Saban’s postgame dancing attempt might have been his daughter, Kristen.
At least, that’s what Saban admitted when asked about it on Wednesday.
“I really didn’t want to dance. I really do have some moves. I didn’t want to let them all out. I really was criticized harshly by Kristen,” Saban said. “She thought my effort was not really good.”
Apparently, some of his players are still amused by the video almost a week after it blew up on the Internet.
“I don’t know what he was doing but we were just going with it,” star tailback Derrick Henry said. “It was funny, though. We were talking about it today in practice.”
Center Ryan Kelly was asked whether Saban has any other dance moves that remain unknown to the public. Judging from his response, it seems football fans will have to be satisfied with “the dinosaur” for the time being.
“I guess everyone saw the dinosaur,” Kelly said. “I liked that video. It was pretty funny. … I don’t see him doing the Dab anytime soon.”
