Nick Saban may not have known Tuesday was Election Day, but that didn’t stop his colleagues from voting the Alabama coach as the choice for best president — although the candidates were all fellow coaches.
In this week’s ESPN coaches poll, Saban ranked No. 1 as coach that would make the best president. He beat out Washington State’s Mike Leach, Stanford’s David Shaw, Duke’s David Cutcliffe and Clemson’s Dabo Swinney for the top spot.

Perhaps Saban’s colleagues voted him as the best presidential choice based on the Crimson Tide’s success. They’re undefeated and the top-ranked team in the country entering Saturday’s matchup against Mississippi State.
