Tennessee’s loss yesterday didn’t just end its unbeaten season. It also snapped an 11-game win streak.
That win streak was the second-longest in the FBS, behind Alabama’s 18-consecutive wins.
Alabama’s win streak is double what the second-longest winning streak in the country is, which is the Washington Huskies, who have won nine in a row.
Alabama’s longest winning streak in program history is 28 in a row, which the Crimson Tide did from 1978 through 1980. If the Crimson Tide finish the season unbeaten, the streak would be at 27.
Current unbeaten streaks in college football:

The Crimson Tide will have a chance to extend the winning streak to 19 against Tennessee on Saturday. The Crimson Tide have won nine in a row against the Volunteers. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on CBS.
