A Big Ten Conference officiating crew has been assigned to the Peach Bowl featuring Alabama and Washington.
As relayed by CBS Sports’ Jon Solomon on Tuesday, a Big Ten crew drew the Peach Bowl matchup on Dec. 31. A Pac-12 Conference crew will appear in the Fiesta Bowl featuring Ohio State and Clemson the same day. A Big 12 Conference crew will work the national championship game on Jan. 9 in Tampa, Fla.
CFP officiating crews: Big Ten for Peach, Pac-12 for Fiesta, Big 12 for national championship. The conference not in CFP does title game.

It makes sense that a crew from a conference not represented in the Peach and Fiesta bowls will work those respective games. It’s also wise that Big 12 officials have been assigned to the national championship game, since it’s impossible for a Big 12 team to appear in that contest.
Here’s hoping the officials don’t play a major factor in the outcome of any of the College Football Playoff matchups. But if there’s a controversy somewhere along the way, you can assign blame accordingly.
