Catch your breath from Alabama-Ole Miss yet?
What a wild game Saturday in Oxford. If the great action near The Grove had you glued to your nearest television, let it be known that you weren’t alone.
On Sunday, CBS Sports announced that the Crimson Tide’s victory over the Rebels earned an overnight HH rating/share of 5.4/12, which marks the highest-rated daytime game and the second highest-rated contest overall of the current season. CBS Sports says the game was up 100 percent from last year’s 2.7/6 in the metered markets. The game yesterday peaked at 6.7/15.
These numbers are no surprise. The game was a cliffhanger and SEC-as-entertainment at its best. Who wouldn’t be sucked in by the drama?
CBS Sports suits should be happy today.
